It’s been a while since the current generation Seat Leon has been sold in the catalog. And we can say that the assortment is quite complete, while the compact is offered with a wide selection of gasoline and hybrid engines, but there is no diesel, as on many other cars. Therefore, customers have a choice 1.4 e-Hybrid from 204 and 245 hp, 2.0 TSI 245 hp and 2.0 TSI 300 hp. All of this is mated as standard to a DSG6 or 7 dual-clutch gearbox, well known to Volkswagen enthusiasts as it features on many models from Skoda to Audi. But new alternatives appear in the assortment.

Two new engines

Indeed, two new engines are coming to the catalog. And they are actually unknown as they are taken from the Cupra Formentor. Therefore, the Seat Leon will be available with a 1.5-liter TSI unit developing 150 horsepower, which will then be linked to a DSG7 gearbox. Those looking to take advantage of a bit more power can opt for the 2.0-litre TSI in a 190bhp version. Like the first, it is also associated with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Therefore, regardless of the version chosen, a manual gearbox is not offered. But this is not the only novelty worth paying attention to.

New treatment

Indeed, a completely new coating also appears in the assortment. Named “V”, it comes standard with 18-inch wheels, fully LED lights, navigation on a 12-inch screen or bucket seats in fabric or leather. This new version will be available in sedan or wagon and will be available at the end of the year. However, we will have to wait before we know the prices of these new versions. We remind you that the Seat Leon model range now starts at 40,950 euros against 35,990 euros for the Formentor equipped with 1.5 L TSI 150 horsepower. Therefore, a compact car should be slightly cheaper than an SUV.
