​CFR Cluj won a very important 2:0 victory over Chindia Tirgovishte in the fourth stage of the Super League (former League 1). The reigning champion finished the game in Ploiesti with nine players, Dan Petrescu also eliminated.

The goals were scored by Muhar (’27) and Yeboa (’45+1 – spectacular scissors).

In the second half, Cluj sent off three players: two players and coach Dan Petrescu.

In the 66th minute, Yeboa slipped and hit Ionice, the players of Torgovishte asked to be sent off. Yeboa was shown a red card by referee Julian Calin, while Dan Petrescu protested and was also sent off. Yeboa came close to clashing with an arena official in Ploiesti, but eventually left the field, News.ro reports.

Debeluch was also sent off in the 80th minute for elbowing Selea, a decision which Cluj appealed.

Thanks to this success, CFR Cluj gained nine points and tied with Rapidul at the top of the hierarchy (Cluj has a better goal difference). Instead, Chindia is second to last in 15th place with two points.
