
Eleven people died and many were injured when a bus with Polish plates veered off course to the northwest. Croatian this morning, the police said.
Police, firefighters and rescuers arrived at the scene of the accident, which occurred at 5:40 am (local time) near Breznicki Gum on the way to the capital Zagreb, police said.
“According to preliminary information, 11 people died and many were injured when the bus with Polish numbers deviated from the course,” the Croatian Interior Ministry said in a statement, without specifying the nationality of the passengers.
