
At least one person was killed and twelve wounded in Turkey on Sunday during incidents on the outskirts of municipal elections in Diyarbakır, the main Kurdish city (in the southeast), the health ministry said, according to AFP.
“Clashes broke out between two groups during Sunday’s election, leaving one dead and twelve injured,” the official told AFP, adding that the incidents took place in a village 30 km from the provincial capital.
