USR President Katalin Drula said that he has not yet made a decision, but there is a very high chance that he will be the candidate of the United Right Alliance in the presidential elections. “We want to have a single candidate in the presidential elections and go to the parliamentary elections together,” the USR leader said, according to News.ro.

“There is a very good chance for the United Right to become the next president of Romania, because as soon as you get to the second round, we can win. I have not yet decided on a candidate and will not undertake to announce him here. I haven’t established this with my alliance mates yet. We also want to have a single candidate in the presidential elections and go to the parliamentary elections together,” Ketalin Drula said on Digi 24 on Friday.

When asked whether the UDR will be a presidential candidate, the leader of the UDR replied that “it is a possibility with high chances.”

“We have not made this decision, but it is a possibility with high chances because USR is the party around which this alliance is built,” Drula said.

Regarding the possible candidacy of Dacian Cholos, Katelin Drula says that she does not believe “that this decision is on the table.”

He also explained that “there is a very high chance” to be a candidate in the presidential elections.

“I’m not going to hide it, as I’ve seen with all party presidents. I tell you that naturally the president of the party is the candidate, so there is a very high probability that I will be the candidate, but we will announce when we get the official decision,” concluded Drula.
