Dacia Duster will give birth to four new SUVs from Renault and Nissan Auto Plus news in your smartphone

As the new generation Dacia Duster prepares to hit our roads in France, the Renault group already intends to offer several variants based on this base.

Indeed, during a joint press briefing, Nissan and Renault announced the development of four new products for the Indian market: two five-seat SUVs, one from each brand, and corresponding seven-seat derivatives.

Pale copies of Dacia Duster? Not at all

These four models, without much surprise, will be based on modular platform CMF-B of the Renault-Nissan alliance. At the moment, nothing is officially known, but the Indian Renault Duster should be eligible for a new generation, that is, five or seven seats, and it will be slightly different from the global Renault Duster, which was presented in February last year. Keep in mind that outside of Europe, the Dacia Duster is branded Renault, especially for emerging markets such as South America.
The front optics will be redesigned, as will the shields. For its part, the Nissan-branded version will be equipped with L-shaped LED daytime running lights, which are connected by a light frame that will cross the front end.
The two SUVs will also have their respective seven-seater iterations, given the growing popularity of seven-seater SUVs in developing countries like the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and other Mahindra XUV700s. The seven-seat versions of both SUVs will likely have distinctive styling cues and a longer wheelbase, but may be powered by the same powertrains.

India, the market is already saturated with SUVs?

The new Renault Duster is expected to arrive in India only at the end of 2025. While there is no official launch schedule for any of the four SUVs, the Renault Duster and Nissan’s five-seater SUV are likely to be launched first, followed by their seven-seater SUV versions. The manufacturers have confirmed that the products of the two brands will be released in parallel. Two other models based on the new Duster could also see the world, probably a pickup versionthe Indian market loves this type of body.

Competition for the new SUVs from Nissan and Renault in India will be tough as the market is already saturated if not saturated with models like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Citroën C3 Aircross and other MG Astors.
