Spanish prosecutors demanded that Luis Rubiales be sentenced to two and a half years in prison for kissing soccer player Jenny Hermoso after the 2023 World Cup final.

Luis Rubiales could be sentenced after being accused of sexual violence and coercion in the case of the forced kiss of player Jenny Hermoso, writes Marca.

The prosecution asked for a sentence of two and a half years in prison, suspended for two years of supervision.

During this time, the former president of the Spanish Football Federation will be banned from working on the sports field and from communicating with or approaching a player at a distance of less than 200 meters for four years.

In the same case, prosecutors sought sentences of one and a half years each for coercion in the case of former women’s team coach Jorge Wilda, former marketing director Ruben Rivera and men’s team director Albert Luque.

The Spanish Federation (RFEF) has sued Rubiales in another case for alleged wrongdoing during his five years at the helm of the football forum.

Among the accusations is the transfer of the Spanish Super Cup to Saudi Arabia.
