Former US President Donald Trump, who is campaigning for the presidential election in November, announced on Tuesday the launch of the Bible, his “favorite book”, priced at $60, Le Figaro reported, citing News.ro.

Days before the Catholic Easter, former President Donald Trump announced Tuesday the launch of a paid partnership with the country music star to sell the Bible, his “favorite book.”

“God Bless the USA Bible” is the name of this religious book that sells for $59.99 a copy. The name is reminiscent of the hit “God Bless the USA” by the famous conservative musician Lee Greenwood, which is played at each of Donald Trump’s rallies.

The billionaire is starting a new business with this country music artist.

“Restore America’s faith,” the Republican candidate says in a three-minute video posted on his Truth Social network in the midst of Holy Week. This is an allusion to the symbolic slogan of his presidential campaigns, “Make America Great Again.”

In a video shared by Greenwood on his YouTube channel, the former president urges his supporters to buy these Bibles.

God Bless the USA Bible also contains other documents

At the beginning of the video, Trump explains that God Bless the United States of America, the King James Version, also includes the United States Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights, the collective name by which the first ten amendments to the United States Constitution are known.

“Every American needs a Bible at home, and I have several. This is my favorite book. This is a favorite book of many people,” says Donald Trump, who has actively courted evangelical circles since his election in 2016.

Although the former president himself does not sell the Bible, he receives royalties on purchases, The New York Times explained, citing a source familiar with the contract. On its website, the group offering the holy book for sale boasts that it is “the only Bible promoted by Donald Trump!”.

However, the organization clarifies that not one cent of the proceeds from the sale of these Bibles will be used to finance the campaign of the Republican candidate for the presidential election in November. However, it states that his image is used in a paid partnership.

Le Figaro notes that this is a nice payment for the Republican candidate, given that the Court of Appeals in New York asked him to post $175 million in bail in a fraud lawsuit against the Trump Organization. The amount he must pay was unexpectedly reduced on Monday, when a New York state court initially requested $454 million.

If he doesn’t pay that fine, Donald Trump risks having his bank accounts frozen and his properties seized and sold, starting with his midtown Manhattan skyscrapers.

In mid-February, right after his conviction for fraud, the former US president unexpectedly released a new model of sneakers with the letter “T” printed on the tongue and the American flag on the heel.

Limited to 1,000 pairs, the gold model is described as “bold and tough like President Trump.” Targeted at “true patriots,” these shoes cost $399 a pair.

On Tuesday, the former real estate mogul also applauded the successful IPO of his social network. “I love Truth Social, I love truth,” he said, hailing the success of the Nasdaq stock market launch.
