On Tuesday, the Romanian U17 football team drew with a similar team from Sweden (1:1) in Group 2 of the Elite Tour. After that, the team under the leadership of Nicolae Roshka missed the qualification for Euro-2024.

After losing to Wales and drawing with Bulgaria, Romania also drew with Sweden (1-1) in the final match of the elite European Championship tour.

The Tricolors led at the end after Božičević opened the scoring in the 85th minute, but they restored the tie thanks to the success of Petculescu, who scored in the final minute of stoppage time with a shot close to the spot from 11 metres.

In the other group match, Wales beat Bulgaria 2-1. Romania thus misses out on qualifying for the final tournament to be held in Cyprus this summer, finishing third in the group.
