At least 40 people were killed and 145 injured as a result of an armed attack that took place today in the Crocus City Hall concert hall near Moscow, according to the Russian state news agency TASS. The RIA news agency reported that at least three people in camouflage opened fire in the Crocus City Hall concert hall.

Russia:

It was a “bloody terrorist attack” and a “horrible crime,” said Maria Zakharova, an official representative of the Russian diplomatic service.

Ukraine:

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the President of Ukraine, said that Ukraine, which has been facing the Russian army’s offensive for two years, “has nothing to do” with this attack.

The Ukrainian special services stated: “The terrorist attack in Moscow is a planned and deliberate provocation by the Russian special services at the behest of (Vladimir) Putin.

Its goal is to justify even tougher strikes on Ukraine and full mobilization in Russia.”

UN

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres “condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attack” in Moscow, his deputy spokesman Farhan Haq said in a statement.

The United States:

The White House said that it “supports the victims of the terrible attack.”

“The images of the shooting in Moscow are horrific and difficult to watch,” the White House said Friday after the gun attack in the Russian capital.

At the same time, on Friday evening, the White House warned Americans in Moscow to stay at home.

France:

“The images reaching us from Moscow are appalling,” the French Foreign Ministry responded in a message posted on X, condemning the “disgusting actions.”

Italy:

“The horror of the massacre of innocent civilians in Moscow is unacceptable,” Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said.

Spain:

“We are shocked,” the Foreign Ministry said on X. “Spain condemns all forms of violence.”

European Union:

“The EU is shocked and appalled,” said spokesman Peter Stano. “The EU condemns all attacks on civilians.”

Israel:

“Saddened by the tragic events of this evening in Moscow. Our hearts go out to the families of the victims and all those affected,” Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said on X.

Palestinian Authority:

“The presidency expresses its strong condemnation,” the office of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said, confirming “President Abbas’ rejection of terrorism.”

Mexico:

“We deplore the unfortunate loss of human life and reject any act of violence against the civilian population,” Mexico’s foreign ministry said on X.

Venezuela:

“We express our support for President Vladimir Putin and raise our voices to categorically reject any act of violence,” Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said on X.
