
On Friday evening, an explosion occurred at the Stejaru hydroelectric power plant in Neamts county, a man was injured.
“At 6:09 p.m., firefighters were notified of an explosion at the Stejaru hydroelectric plant. The forces and means of the Piatra-Neamts fire department (three special fire trucks and an ambulance SMURD TIM) were sent to the scene of the call. Arriving at the specified place, the firefighters discovered a breakdown of the 110 kV circuit breaker,” ISU NeamÅ£ reported on Friday evening, News.ro reports.
According to the source, one person required medical assistance.
“The SMURD TIM crew captured a 40-year-old man, who was conscious and ready to cooperate, and took him to UPU Piatra-Neamts. The crew that guarded the area remained at the scene,” the source added.
Firefighters said the power distribution operator has been notified and is working to fix the malfunctions caused by the incident.
