
Canadian Dianna Stellato-Dudek (40 years old) became the oldest athlete to win the title of world champion in figure skating, winning the pairs competition at the World Championships in Montreal (Canada), together with Maxime Deschamps.

Dianna made her senior debut in 2000, but ended her career after numerous injuries: four hips, a torn ligament in her right ankle and a fractured left ankle.
The Canadian began his career as a cosmetic surgeon, but returned to the ice after an almost 16-year hiatus in March 2016.
In Montreal, Stellato-Dudek and Deschamps performed to the music of the film “Interview with the Vampire” and won with the sum of 221.56 points.
The podium was completed by the Japanese Ryu Miura and Rynichi Kihara (217.88 points) and the Germans Minerva Fabien Hase and Nikita Volodin (210.40 points).

Among men, Japanese Shoma Uno (current world champion) scored 107.72 in the free program. He was followed by compatriot Yuma Kagiyama (106.35) and American Ilya Malinin (105.97).
