Audi: a shower of new products over the next two years Auto Plus news in your smartphone

It’s been a while since we’ve had any real news from Audi. Generally speaking, manufacturers work in cycles, and after a major update to their lineup about four years ago, the cycle will soon restart at the ring manufacturer.

And it all starts with the Audi Q6 e-tron, an SUV that we invite you to discover in our columns. An SUV that also paves the way for other equally important models that will be based on the same platform, the well-known PPE, which, in particular, is used together with the new electric Porsche Macan.

Q5, A5, A4, A6: something for everyone

On the occasion of the presentation of the brand results, Audi has announced the launch of 20 new models (including new models, new generations and facelifts) between 2024 and 2025.. Overall, it’s the biggest product push in the brand’s history with the Q6 e-tron leading the way, followed by the new A4, A5 and A6, as well as the new Q5.
These models will apparently be based on the well-known PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform mentioned above. The new Q5 and the new A5 will also be based on this new architecture and are expected in the second half of 2024. The new A5 will also be, in a sense, the new A4, but electric.
As we explained to you in the previous article, Audi will dedicate even numbers to electric models, and odd numbers to models with thermal and hybrid engines. At the same time, the brand abandons the suffixes “30, 35, 45” to indicate certain engines. Good news, because there were not many people!
In 2024, we will also unveil the new A6 e-tron in a sedan version, while the station wagon will appear a little later. These two models will be electric and were announced via the Skysphere concept cars. If the designers did not change these concepts too much, the future Audi A6 looks great.

Audi does not change strategy (yet)

Therefore, the year 2024 promises to be full, not taking into account the release of the restyling A3. 2025 is unlikely to be a quieter year for the brand, with the arrival of the new A7 (which will be a thermal and hybrid version of the A6) and A8. During the presentation of the figures for 2023, the management of the brand also mentioned a new 100% electric product, which will be positioned below the Q4, currently the base model in the e-tron line. It could be the new Q2 based on the MEB platform of the Volkswagen concern.
“Our vision is very clear. We are fully committed to electric mobility”, – commented the general director of Audi, Gernot Dölner. Audi aims to be 100% electric from 2033, emphasizing the need for a delicate approach: “If there are fluctuations in the energy transition, we can react”, clarifies Gernot Dölner. A phrase we’ve also recently heard from Mercedes…

In any case, the brand’s projects have been confirmed since 2026. only electric models will be presentedbut thermal engines (including hybrids) will remain in the range until 2033.
