The world leader won the Indian Wells trophy for the second time and, like two years ago, also in front of Maria Sakkari.

The first set started well for Svyanek, who took a 3-0 lead, but the Greek leveled the game, leveling in games, before conceding a little in the end.

The second act, however, was uneventful as the Pole once again showed strength, winning the set as decisively as possible.

The game lasted only one hour and nine minutes.

It was trophy #8 won by Iga Sviatek in the finals of the “WTA 1000” category.
