The United States on Tuesday approved a $3.5 billion missile sale to Poland, which was announced shortly before President Joe Biden met with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the White House, AFP reported.

The contract, which was notified to the US Congress under US law, involves the sale of long-range air-to-surface missiles for US$1.77 billion and medium-range air-to-air missiles for US$1.69 billion. State Department press release.

Russia “will not stop at Ukraine,” warns Biden

US President Joe Biden warned on Tuesday that Russia will continue its invasion of Ukraine, urging Congress to pass a military aid package to Kyiv as soon as possible.

“We must act before it is literally too late. Because, as Poland remembers, Russia will not stop at Ukraine,” the US president said on the sidelines of a meeting with the Polish president and prime minister at the White House.
