With times of 1:27.87 minutes at Laguna Seca and 7:07.55 minutes at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the most powerful Porsche in history is also the fastest electric car on the track.

Up to 1108 horsepower and 1340 Nm of torque

The German manufacturer completes its range with the appearance Porsche Taycan Turbo GTequipped with a particularly efficient 100% electric motor: if it shows a power of 789 hp (580 kW), the Launch Control function allows you to propose an increase in power up to 1034 hp (760 kW), or up to 1108 horsepower (815 kW) at peak power for 2 seconds. The maximum torque reaches 1340 Nm.
With this cavalry, the Taycan Turbo GT swallows from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.3 seconds, and 2.2 seconds with the Weissach Pack, which removes the rear seats to offer an even better power-to-weight ratio for track use. The maximum speed is, respectively, 290 km/h and 305 km/h.
Compared to the Taycan Turbo S, to Removed 75 kg on the Taycan Turbo GT, in particular thanks to the use carbon fiber which we find on the trim of the B-pillars, the upper housings of the exterior mirrors or the inserts of the side skirts. The Taycan Turbo GT comes standard with the Dynamic Pack, which includes the Porsche Active Ride suspension with special tuning, special summer tires, exclusive 21-inch lightweight forged wheels, lightweight ceramic brakes, matrix LED headlights, a front spoiler with special air blades, as well as an adaptive rear spoiler.
To prove the performance of its new electric sedan, Porsche took the Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach Pack on Weathertech Raceway Laguna SecaCalifornia, February 23, 2024: Development driver Lars Kern set a lap time 1:27.87 minuteswhich is a record for an electric vehicle approved for road use.
Shortly before that, a pre-production version of the Taycan Turbo GT also appeared Nurburgring Autodromein Germany, also with Kern at the wheel: the Porsche driver set a new category record with a time of y 7:07.55 lap time on the Nordschleifewhich is no less than 26 seconds better than the record set by the Taycan Turbo S Sport with the Performance Pack set in August 2022. So, this time is a new record for production electric cars, and the Taycan Turbo GT also becomes the fastest four-door car on the Nürburgring with all engine types.

Pricing for the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT will be announced at a later date, with first deliveries scheduled spring 2024.
