Despite EU sanctions, wine from Dmitry Medvedev’s Italian vineyards continues to arrive in Russia. In addition, the delivery dates strangely precede every scandalous post of the former Russian president on social networks, according to an investigation by independent journalists The Insider, taken by Radio Chisinau.

According to the source, after the start of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine, Dmytro Medvedev began regularly making hateful statements. “Perhaps this is due to the fact that his legendary vineyards were not sanctioned, and wine from Italy continues to arrive in Russia batch after batch,” The Insider writes.

So, according to ImportGenius, the wine of Fattoria della Aiola (the company that manages the Medvedev vineyards in Italy) arrived in Russia on June 17, 2022 through an intermediary company in Riga.

Literally two days after the arrival of the Italian wine, Medvedev writes a Telegram post in which he “prophesies” the disintegration of the European Union and calls the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, “aunt”.

The next batch from the Italian Medvedev winery arrived in Russia a month later, on July 18. The bottles were imported as “samples”.

A few days after the bottles crossed the border, Medvedev wrote a post in which he listed the “sins” of the West, using phrases such as “European fools”, “crazy grandpa” (about the US president) and “crazy” (about the leadership of the EU ).

Then a fairly large batch of Fattoria della Aiola wine was imported to Russia on October 13, 2022. Just a few days after the wine passed customs, Medvedev makes a new post about the “Banderivites”.

In January 2023, bottles of wine from Medvedev’s winery in Tuscany arrived in Russia again, and a few days after the drink reached Russian territory, Medvedev wrote new images on Telegram about “three idiots from Warsaw, Riga and Kyiv”.

“We believe that the inclusion of Medvedev’s vineyards in the list of sanctions could reduce the level of toxicity in social networks,” the quoted publication ironically concludes. (Agerpress)
