BMW has just launched the “BMW 2024 BEV Conquest Program,” an offer aimed at attracting American owners of rival EVs to its electric models. This program offers a $1,000 discount to owners of electric vehicles from other brands, including Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Polestar, Porsche, Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, Ford Mustang Mach-E and Volkswagen ID.4. Unlike other offers, BMW focuses specifically on e-mobility enthusiasts and allows eligible customers to combine this bonus with other promotional offers. Offer valid from March 1 through April 1, 2024 in select states in the Western United States. This strategy is part of the fierce competition among car manufacturers to attract new customers.
Business is business
Fierce competition between car manufacturers continues to bring surprises and benefits to consumers. BMW has just launched an innovative offer to lure American owners of rival EVs to its electric models. Called the BMW 2024 BEV Conquest Program, this program provides a rebate of $1000 to encourage owners of electric cars of other brands to switch to an electric BMW.
In a memo sent last week seen by Carsdirect, BMW briefed its dealers on this new strategy to boost sales of its electric vehicles. The program is specifically aimed at owners of electric cars of competing brands such as Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Polestar, Porsche, Tesla, Rivian, Lucid. Even Ford Mustang Mach-E or Volkswagen ID.4 owners can take advantage of this offer.
What sets this business apart is its inclusive approach. Unlike other offerings, which are often aimed at owners of cars with gasoline engines, BMW focuses specifically on ardent fans of electric mobility. This initiative is not limited to a simple discount. It is added to existing BMW offers, allowing interested customers to combine this bonus with other promotional offers from the brand. Indeed, according to foreign media, the Bavarian manufacturer is currently offering a $7,500 discount on the all-new BMW i4. By combining this offer with a $1,000 discount, eligible customers can treat themselves to the German electric sedan at a discount of $8,500.
Urgent BMW offer
According to the Beverly Hills dealer, this ephemeral offer is valid for one month only, from March 1 to April 1, 2024, in select states in the western United States.
It’s hardly unusual for automakers to use such incentives to attract new customers. Late last year, Lucid released a $2,000 offer for its Air electric sedan, specifically aimed at non-Lucid car owners. This program, mainly aimed at Tesla owners, runs until the end of this month.
Therefore, all means are good to sell your stocks. BMW is not doing any favors to its competitors, who sooner or later in turn will release aggressive offers to attract customers.
The war in the electric car market is merciless, and it has only just begun.
