The Geneva Motor Show 2024 opened its doors again with only 23 manufacturers. At the exhibition, four new thematic zones dedicated to the “future of the car now” were presented. Ready-to-use stands helped minimize installation costs. The next edition is already planned, the screening will take place from February 17-23, 2025.

Geneva Motor Show 2024: a timid return

After a long break due to the coronavirus, Geneva Motor Show returned during the 2024 release, though with many missing. The organizers welcomed this return and announced the dates of the next edition, scheduled for February 17-23, 2025. This year, 23 manufacturers took part in the event, a narrower selection compared to the boom years, with the likes of Stellantis and Volkswagen Group notably absent. On the other hand, the Renault group was a major player, introducing the new Renault 5 and presenting the world premiere of the Dacia Duster, Dacia Spring and Dacia Sandrider models. The Renault Scenic E-Tech also won the coveted Car of the Year award.slightly ahead of the BMW 5 Series. Chinese manufacturers MG and BYD also put on a show with the MG3 and Seal U (plug-in hybrid SUV) respectively at European premieres.

Geneva Motor Show: unique innovations and experiences

The show has been updated by introducing four new zones an “experimental” activity aligned with the main theme “The Automotive Future is Now”. These zones include Adrenaline, dedicated to high-performance cars and motorsport; the Design District, featuring exhibitions by Pininfarina and renowned designer Frank Stephenson; a mobility laboratory that studies various forms of personal and shared transport; and finally the Next World zone, created in partnership with Polyphony Digital, which offers an avant-garde vision of the future of the car. Sandro Mesquita, Managing Director of the Geneva International Motor Show, emphasized the importance of this “Auto Future Now” initiative, aimed at offering personalized content to the public. He noted that the different zones will evolve from year to year according to new themes, ensuring that brands remain the stars of the show.

To make the exhibition more attractive, THE GIMS “ready-to-use” booths are provided for participantsthus minimizing installation costs and exposure time.
