The eighth favorite of the competition in Slovakia, Ruse, needed an hour and 45 minutes to overcome the representative of the hosts (811 WTA, 16 years old) with a score of 7-5, 6-4.
In this match, Yamrichova committed 13 double faults.
In the quarters, Ruse (171 WTA) will meet the winner of the match between the Croatian Jana Fett (174 WTA) and the French Kristina Mladenovic (282 WTA) in the next round.
Gabriela is also present in the doubles, where she teams up with Miriam Bulgaru, and the two Romanians went past the team of Veronika Falkowska/Fanny Stollar (Poland/Hungary – favorites 4), 7-5, 3-6, 10-4 in the first round.
