Prime Minister Marcel Călăcu says Romania will also enter Schengen by land by the end of 2024, that US visas will be issued by the end of 2025 and that we will join the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 2026.

“I give you guarantees that it will be so. This is our dacha project. The most important thing will be joining the OECD,” the prime minister said on Antena 3.

Joining the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is one of the most important goals for Romania after joining NATO and the European Union. The Government of Romania completed the first stage of the OECD accession process in December 2022,

Cholaku also says there will be no phased payroll tax from next year, but announces a fiscal reform that will “come into effect in 2027.”
