
The Romanian women’s handball team qualified for the European Championship after beating Croatia 25-23 in the fourth match of preliminary group 1.

Romania’s women’s national handball team will take part in this year’s European Championship after reaching fourth place in the previous matches.
The tricolors won the match in Koprivnica against Croatia with a score of 25-23 after an exciting match by our girls.
The main scorers of the game were Simara with 6 goals, Serafican 6 in Croatia, Lupei 5 in Romania.
In the first stages, Romania defeated Bosnia (49-18), Greece (32-20) and Croatia (25-23). The tricolor secured a direct entry to the CE2024 final tournament.
Romania leads the ranking with 8 points, followed by Croatia 4, Greece 4 and Bosnia 0.
The 2024 European Championship will be the first 24-team European Championship to be hosted by Austria, Hungary and Switzerland from 28 November to 15 December. The top two teams in the preliminary groups and the four third-placed teams advance to the final tournament, where Denmark, Sweden, Holland, France secured their place in the preliminary tournament, reports news.ro.
In the last two European Championships, Romania took 12th place after 4th in 2018. The best result of the tricolor team was a bronze medal in 2010.
The winner of the trophy is Norway.
