Margot Chevrier suffered an open ankle fracture

After clearing 4.55 meters on her third attempt, Margot Chevrier tried 4.65 meters, but fell in the place where the athletes place the pole.

The 24-year-old French jumper did not rise and was evacuated on a stretcher, with an immobile left leg. She was in so much pain that she had an oxygen tank to help her breathe.

Urgently taken to the hospital with the doctor of the French Athletics Federation, the athlete reported on Instagram that she had an open ankle fracture and will undergo two operations.

Number 1 in France in the pole vault, Margot Chevrier aimed for the Olympic minimum (4.73 m). This winter, she jumped 4.66 meters, writes News.ro.
