Alex De Minaur (reigning champion) reached the semifinals of the ATP tournament in Acapulco (category 250), the Australian defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Being in the gray period of his career, Stephanos (25 years old) made a great start to the match against De Minaur and undoubtedly won the first set with a score of 6-1.
However, the continuation was not the way the Greek wanted: he was no longer consistent on his serve, errors multiplied and De Minaur’s attacks constantly damaged Tsitsipas’ defense.
Two sets followed, won by Alex “in the mirror” with a double 6-3 (in two legs, the Greek surrendered his serve five times). The match lasted two hours and eight minutes.
