Victor Cornea – Philip Oswald left the ATP 250 tournament in Santiago de Chile after losing in the first round.

The Romanian-Austrian pair lost after just one hour and 14 minutes to the team of Ecuador’s Diego Hidalgo and Colombia’s Cristian Rodríguez 6-3, 6-2.

For the main grid, Cornea and Oswald received a check for $3,600.

In the quarterfinals, the pair of Hidalgo / Rodriguez will meet the winners of the match between F. Romboli and M. Zormann Da Silva against N. Barrientos and R. Matos.

The Chile Open takes place from February 26 to March 3, 2024 on clay, is part of the ATP 250 category and offers $661,585 in prize money. The titular champions are the Chilean Nicolas Jarry (singles) and the Italians Andrea Pellegrino and Andrea Vavassori (doubles).
