
Matte transparent film to personalize your picture
For her 60th birthday Ford Mustang returns with the seventh generation. If it is taking its first steps in Europe, then on the other side of the Atlantic, a new personalization option has just appeared in the catalog: “Matte transparent film”, matte transparent film. This new option brings together other model customization options such as rims, exterior and interior colors, colored seat belts or even colored brake calipers.
“The Ford Mustang has a 60-year commitment to driving freedom and freedom of expression, and our new Matte Clear film gives customers a whole new way to make their Mustang their own.”– said Lori Transu, chief engineer of Ford’s Mustang programs, on this occasion.
In practice, this option “Transparent matte film” offers two advantages: an offer elegant satin finish to all Mustang body colors, and protecting your paint from external influences.
Ford Mustang VII: greater resistance to external aggression
Matte clear film for Ford Mustang made by PPG installed at the factoryand has been formulated to resist aggressive detergents used in car washes, both manual and automatic, as well as road salt, bird droppings, crushed insect marks and other automotive debris, asphalt and tar.
The matte clear film, which is now available to order, is available on all Mustang Coupe models (EcoBoost, GT and Dark Horse) and can be matched with all body colors. The first deliveries of copies personalized in this way are scheduled for a month June 2024while the Mustang Convertible can also be personalized with this option fourth quarter of 2024.
This option is offered at an equivalent price of $5,995about 5500 euros, and it’s covered by the same 3-year/60,000km factory warranty that covers new Mustangs across the Atlantic. However, it is not compatible with the hood moldings, the GT California Special package, or the graphics packages offered on the Mustang EcoBoost and GT.
This new possibility of customization in the Ford Mustang VII configurator has not yet appeared in our regions. Time will tell if Ford will sell this matte film in Europe as well…
