A successful year 2023

The year 2023 will go down in history for the Mercedes-Benz Museum, which reached new heights thanks to a record number of visitors: almost 800,245 car enthusiasts passed through its doors. This is an exceptional achievement, which marked an increase of almost 28% compared to the previous year, welcomed Bettina Hausmann, director of the museum. According to the manufacturer’s statistics, the influx of visitors came from 160 different countries, highlighting the notable presence of the United States and France, these two countries returned to the attendance levels of 2019. Exceptional demand was also recorded in Germany, where it increased by approximately 50% compared to last year. During her speeches, Bettina Hausmann emphasized the diversity of the Stadtkultur (City Culture) program and outlined the contours of future interactive experiences. In particular, she raised enthusiasm around the long-awaited “Pit-stop” project, which is planned to be launched in the summer of 2024. These initiatives promise to further enrich the visitor experiencethus helping to enhance the attraction of this place for lovers of culture and discovery.

2024 is a promising year

Among upcoming projects, the museum is preparing the ground for the interactive temporary exhibition Der Mobile Mensch, which will run until November 2024. Starting in March 2024, the Mercedes-Benz Art Collection will open a series of temporary exhibitions entitled “Now on View”. Classic car enthusiasts can look forward to the weekly Classics & Coffee series, with topics ranging from Super Sports Cars to SUVs, Cars and Motorhomes. The museum will also celebrate its 18th anniversary on May 19, 2024 with one day of free admission. The new Pit Stop interactive experience will launch in the summer of 2024 in the Legend 7 room, offering a behind-the-scenes look at Formula 1 racing strategy. Other events such as the Pit Stop for Kids and Families, the Urban Culture Program at the Mercedes-Benz Museum and outdoor shows will enrich visitors’ journeys throughout the year.
