License expiration?
Today, having received a driver’s license, you keep it for life. With certain exceptions, of course, such as when you lose it after committing several offenses in a row. Or if the police decide to take him from us for similar reasons. But that could change over the next few years. Indeed, the European Commission plans to modernize the rules governing driving licenses with proposals aimed at improving road safety and reducing the number of deaths on EU roads. Including mandatory health examination. In particular, drivers will have to undergo a medical examination when obtaining and renewing their driver’s licenses. This event aims to better prepare future drivers for new driving habits and develop risk awareness. This visit to the doctor will be mandatory and should take place every 15 years. But what do motorists think?
Car collisions happen more often than you might think, and they often happen during your daily commute. It is important to know how to react. #Hang up #Auto insurance pic.twitter.com/n762b413p4

Drivers approve
In general, they agree with this measure. Thus, 59% of respondents were in favor of this idea, for older drivers this support reaches even 70%, and among young motorists – 79%. Among drivers over 65, this indicator remains high, and more than every second (53%). However, this reform is not without controversy. Some stakeholders, such as the 40 Million Motorists Association, oppose it, while others, such as the political group Identity and Democracy, are launching petitions against the project. Concerns have also been voiced by road safety stakeholders, who consider the measure “extremely burdensome” and without beneficial effect. For the president of the RN delegation in the European Parliament, this is “a new anti-motor riot, which, as always, will punish poor people and those who live in our area.”
