A big campaign

Do you know recall campaigns? In fact, you’ve probably already heard of it. They are organized by manufacturers to fix a problem affecting their cars on a large scale. In this case, customers do not need to pay anything, they just need to go to the brand’s garage or dealership to solve the problem. And everyone can get hurt at one point or another, regardless of brand. Porsche is the talk of the town this time thanks to a seat belt problems. Next, this campaign concerns the two most produced models of the brand: Macan and Panamera. These recalls affect vehicles manufactured between April 29, 2014 and February 13, 2023. However, Porsche has not yet revealed the exact number of cars being recalled as part of this major operation. According to our estimates, it can be several tens of thousands of cars.

A simple solution

Cars were damaged Macan with number 95B and which have been approved under numbers e132007/461165* followed by a number from 02 to 05, from 10 to 21 or even 07 or 08. On the Panamera side, these are those whose CE number starts with e132007/460971* and ends with a number from 02 to 16, which will need to be returned to the workshop. This particular recall concerns the inspection of the rear seat belt anchorage point. Therefore, it is important to check that these belts are installed correctly, because improper installation can compromise their effectiveness in the event of severe deceleration or an accident. Fortunately, the brand’s dealerships know and will perform repairs without charging customers. The entire operation is actually carried out by the brand. It should be pretty quick as it just consists of checking that everything is ok or maybe fixing a few small parts.
