The Timisoara Public Transport Company announces that steamboats will resume plying the Beza from March 1, and that the boats were launched on Saturday for testing.

“We are preparing to resume traffic on the Bega channel! The steamers were launched this morning, and functional tests will be conducted in the coming days. From 01.03.2024, we are waiting for you again for a walk on the Bega with the crews of the STPT ships”, – STPT reports, according to News.ro.

The route of arrivals at Bega, the timetable, as well as the stations where they will stop, will soon be available on the STPT website.

The price of a ticket for a trip on a public transport boat along the river Bega, inside Timisoara, is only 1 lei.

Steamboats will also make sightseeing trips, also on Beza, but not only on the territory of Timisoara, but also to the Sanmihaiu Roman lock. Such a trip lasts 2 hours, and the price of a ticket for an adult is 30 lei, for children – 10 lei, and for persons with disabilities, children under 7 years old, pupils, students and pensioners from Timiş county, they will be used free of charge, based on supporting documents.

The capacity of the steamer, which runs on Beza, is 50 people.
