The news for the Renault group has been busy lately and the term is weak.
Alpine, Dacia, Renault: new products are pouring in
Alpine has been teasing us for months the appearance of its first 100% electric model, the sporty city car A290, which will be presented this summer. Also Dacia, which in 2023 updated its third and new generation Duster, has since updated the Sandero, Jogger and the Spring electric city car. This year, the Romanian brand will present the long-awaited serial version of its big family SUV Bigster, which will offer up to seven seats and will be available with gasoline and hybrid engines. Renault, for its part, quickly launched the new Scénic, Espace and Rafale (which will soon arrive at dealerships), the new generation of the Master SUV, as well as facelifted versions of the Arkana and Clio. Other new products are in stores, e.g a long seven-seater version of the Captur SUV, which will be called Symbioz, the new generation electric Twingo and the electric city car Renaut 5 E-Tech, which will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show next week. And that’s not all, Renault is also preparing a 100% electric equivalent of its Capturwhich at the same time will revive the legendary name: Renault 4!

Aesthetically, it will be very close to the concept, which itself is a tribute to the original R4 its silhouette, the design of its headlights and increased ground clearance. On the other hand, it will technically just be a ‘body’ R5, as it will be based on the same AmpR Small platform and should use the same batteries and motors. We remind you the new R5 will be offered with two battery sizes of 40 and 52 kWh, providing about 400 km of autonomy. Electric motor with a capacity of 150 hp. can be battery powered or even battery powered 218 horsepower, which will soon be equipped with the Alpine A290 ! On board, the presentation should be modeled after the R5, but with some details and nods to the historic R4. This 4L 2.0 should be introduced in the fall…
