A real driver
Going on the road is obviously far from trivial. Indeed, no one is insured against an accident, whether it is the fault of the driver himself or the fault of another motorist. In all cases, caution is required and that is why the Traffic Rules were created to strictly regulate driving. The rules of priority, maximum speed, etc., are all prescribed in the law. This, however, does not prevent certain motorists from doing whatever they want and believing that they are above the established rules. And this is exactly the case of our champion of the day, in the story that we are going to tell you today. The last one took place on the street departmental RD 752, at the level of the commune of La Meilleure-Tilla in the Vendée. This Monday, February 12, police will be on the side of the road to monitor traffic and potential risky behaviour. And it’s safe to say they weren’t disappointed with their catch of the day…

Many offenses
In fact, the policemen at their post saw a car driving at full speed. And it was not for nothing that the driver was shown a speed of 139 km/h, which significantly exceeds the permitted limit of 80 km/h. Fortunately, after a high-speed chase, the police detained him for a short time. However, during the inspection, it was quickly noticed that the driver was not in his normal condition. And this is an understatement, as the breathalyzer showed an impressive level of 2 grams of alcohol per liter of blood. But that’s not all: the gentleman was also positive about the consumption of cannabis during the facts. The consequences for the driver did not wait: the driver himself saw withdraw driver’s license in the field. But he also faces serious punishment in the form of 3 years in prison and a fine of 9,000 euros for driving in such a dangerous condition. Suffice it to say, it should make him not want to start over.
