YangWang, BYD’s elite offensive
Both will be present at the Geneva Motor Show, which will be held from February 28 to March 3. The former, positioned premium, will introduce its D9 minivan and N7 SUV family, both 100% electric, and YangWang will introduce more… original models. We know for sure that the brand will introduce its U8. It is a new 100% electric luxury 4X4/SUV. It wants to attack premium rivals in a sector dominated by Land Rover Defender and Mercedes Benz class G in particular. Which are planned for a future 100% electric version. It is a serious competitor even in design and philosophy, p a massive style of projecting arteries and flat walls. The exercise is complex, even daring, with a very original design of headlights at the front and rear. A supercar as a standard bearer
This is a much more desirable model than this excellent U8. It reflects neat silhouette that maximizes aerodynamics, enhanced by opening doors and a prominent rear spoiler. Ordinary, its design was signed by Wolfgang Egger, who already worked for Alfa Romeo, Audi and Lamborghini in particular. YangWang today provides more details about its technical side, which is simply amazing! Like an SUV, the U9 is equipped four electric motors, one per wheel, each developing 322 horsepower. In such equipment, the supercar reaches its maximum a whopping 1,287 horsepower for 1,680 Nm of torque ! It only takes two seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. BYD equipped it with the new DiSus-X chassis, which in particular has electronically controlled suspensions, and extended stability control when cornering and braking. The only downside? Its weight is 2475 kg (including 633 kg for the battery alone), almost double that of the Porsche 911! Equipped with a 135.5 kWh battery, the YangWang U9 can travel 465 km on one chargeaccording to Chinese approval figures.
A top model that would be a real underdog in the market if it were sold in Europe.
