
The Supreme Council of National Defense (CSAT) is meeting on Wednesday at Kotrochen Palace. Last week, the Presidential Administration announced that President Klaus Iohannis had convened this meeting, which will take place at 1:00 p.m., Agerpres notes.
The source clarified that the agenda of the Council meeting includes issues related to: the development of the security situation in the Black Sea region in the context of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and the consequences for Romania; progress made in defense planning, including the development of endowment programs and measures to increase the number and retention of personnel; the report on the activities of the Cyber Security Task Force in 2023 and the report of the CSAT on the activities of the previous year.
“During the meeting of the National Security Council, other urgent issues in the field of national security will be considered,” the Presidential Administration also reported.
The previous CSAT meeting was held on October 12, 2023.
