After 2-0 on the road at home, thanks to goals from Hernandez and Hyun-Bum Ahn, Jeonbuk FC qualified right at their opponent’s ground.
Dan Petrescu’s side took the lead from the 12th minute through Park Chan-yong’s success, but Jung Tae-wook equalized in the 76th minute and the score was 1-1 to advance to the quarter-finals.
Jeonbuk is currently awaiting the results of the second leg between Ulsan Hyundai (South Korea) and Ventforet Kofu (Japan) to find out their next opponent.
In the first match, the South Koreans won with a score of 3:0.
