Former Germany international and World Cup winner Andreas Brehme died on Tuesday at the age of 63.

Andreas Brehme died after a suspected heart attack

Andreas Brehme, a former player for Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Real Zaragoza, died on Tuesday at the age of 63 after suffering a heart attack, according to the daily BILD.

His name is associated with success in the final of the 1990 World Cup (Italy), when he scored the goal that decided the final against Argentina with a shot from 11 meters.

The list of teams in which Andreas Brehme played: HSV Barmbek-Uhlenhorst, Saarbrücken, Kaiserslautern, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Real Zaragoza.

He played as a left back and made 86 appearances for the German national team, scoring eight goals.

He was also on the field in the 1986 World Cup final, which Germany lost to Argentina.

As trophies, he won the Bundesliga twice, the German Cup, the German Super Cup, Serie A, the Italian Super Cup and the UEFA Cup.

He also coached Kaiserslautern (2000-2002) and SpVgg Unterhaching (2004-2005).
