FCSB picked up a point at the Cluj University Stadium in a game that saw the Transylvanian side miss a penalty, but Elias Charalambous insists his side are pushing forward to achieve the goal.

Finishing 0-0, the game between Cluj University and FCSB closed the gap between leaders and second-placed Rapid to just seven points.

However, the FCSB coach said he was happy with the point, saying the result will not decide this season’s champions.

“Before the match, I said that we came here to win. It was not the best result for us, but in the end we have a point, it can be important in the fight for the title. We take the point and move on.

Unfortunately, we did not manage to score. In the first half we were not very good, in the second we had more possession of the ball. We continue. I repeat, today’s result will not decide the championship. We are leaders, it doesn’t mean anything, we go step by step. We will do so until the end.

I think that those who came off the bench did well. They played well. It is important that new players join the team.
