Two donations totaling $50,000 were made on behalf of the pop star to a fundraising website set up for the family of Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan. Swift is in a relationship with a Kansas City Chiefs player

A member of Taylor Swift’s entourage later confirmed to Variety that the two donations did indeed come from the singer.

In a message published along with one of the donations, the singer expressed her “deepest condolences.”

Taylor Swift, who is currently in Australia for a series of concerts as part of her ‘The Eras Tour’ world tour, is the girlfriend of Chiefs star player Travis Kelce and has attended many of the team’s games this season, including the Super Bowl.

A crowdfunding page launched Thursday had received nearly $250,000 in donations by Friday afternoon, from about 2,700 donors.

At least 22 people, many of them children, were injured in the shooting near the Kansas City train station as the parade drew to a close.

Three people were arrested, including two juveniles, police said, who said the shooting was the result of a “dispute between several people.”

When the shots rang out, hundreds of thousands of people were watching the parade of the Chiefs, who on Sunday won the Super Bowl, the final of the American football championship in the United States, defeating the San Francisco 49ers.
