On Friday, the government adopted a memorandum that will allow employment of 88 more people at the state-owned company UM Cugir. “There they produce ammunition of NATO caliber, but small caliber, 5.6 – 12.7, international contracts that require higher productivity. 88 people will be able to generate a turnover of 1,000,000 euros per month additionally for UM Cugir,” said Economy Minister Radu Oprea.

The Minister of Economy stated during a press briefing following the results of Friday’s Government meeting that UM Cugir is a company with state capital that no longer has debts.

“At the end of December last year, they paid all their debts, they are profitable and growing. The purpose of today’s memorandum is to be able to hire another 88 people, directly productive, because they have contracts, they have a very heavy workload right now.
