Despite the end of the winter season, Rapid are already gearing up for the new season and announced on Thursday the final transfer of midfielder Claudio Petril, who was originally on loan from CFR Cluj.

Claudio Petrila, permanently transferred by Rapid from CFR Cluj

At the beginning of the season, “Rapid” and CFR Cluj agreed on a one-year loan with the right to buy Claudio Petril.

Despite still having four months at their disposal, Giulesti’s side have already activated the clause and the midfielder has signed a contract until the summer of 2026.

“Claudio Petrila, one of the players who impressed in the first part of the season, has been transferred permanently by Rapid.

Initially on loan from CFR Cluj, Rapid have signed the Sannicolaou Mare-born midfielder, the best passer of the season.

At the age of 23, Petrila managed to score four goals in 14 matches played, giving six crucial assists.

Petryla has been wearing the white and cherry Rapida jersey since last summer and will wear it until 2026.

In his career, in addition to CFR Cluj and Rapid, Claudio played one more season in Sepsi USK, where he was also loaned by Cluj.

In the first part of the season, the midfielder was injured, which took him out of the field for three months, he returned in the match with Ocellul Galats, from stage #24.
