The Toyota Supra, which has been on sale since 2019, is currently available in two versions with four and six-cylinder engines. But while it is starting to age a little, the manufacturer is already working on the next generation. But at Toyota, the future is not limited to electricity. Its former president, Akio Toyoda, has already stated this several times in recent years, and the brand’s projects confirm this diversification. In addition to developing new electric models, Toyota continues to explore other areas, especially hydrogen as fuel cell technology and fuel for heat engines. So, according to the Japanese media Best Car, the Japanese firm is working on two versions of the Supra: one fully electric and another that runs on electronic fuel. The collaboration with BMW will also continue on this new model, which will be equipped with a six-cylinder 3.0 mild hybrid that can run on synthetic fuel.

Ains, the new engine should gain power, going from 340 hp. up to 400 hp In addition, it will be associated with a 6-speed manual transmission and 8-speed automatic transmission. However, fans will have to wait a few more years before discovering this new Supra for themselves. Toyota wants to make the most of the current model, especially with the GRMN version planned for the coming months. According to forecasts, this variant can get the most powerful version of the six-cylinder engine 3.0 with a capacity of 450 or 500 hp. The latest rumors even suggest a power output of 540 hp, thus surpassing the recently redesigned BMW M4.
