
Russia launched a hypersonic Zircon missile during an attack on Ukraine on February 7, the head of the research institute of the Institute of Forensic Science in Kyiv reported on Monday, Reuters reports.
Director Oleksandr Ruvin provided a preliminary analysis in his Telegram channel.
“This is evidenced by the marking of parts and fragments, the identification of assemblies and parts, and the characteristics of the corresponding type of weapon,” he said.

In total, on February 7, according to the ex-head of the Armed Forces, Russia launched 44 missiles and 20 drones over Ukraine.
According to the same source, out of these 64 devices, Ukrainian forces intercepted 29 cruise missiles and 15 drones.
The Russian Ministry of Defense, as usual, claimed that only military facilities were targeted and “all of them were destroyed.”
In Kyiv, fragments of a downed rocket fell on a 17-story residential building in the southern district, causing destruction and a fire.
As a result of the attack in the capital, at least 4 people died, 40 more were injured.
