The 70-year-old attacker “entered the building with a rifle on Monday morning before shooting these three people on the first floor of the building,” Greek police said in a statement.

He was later found dead “in the basement of a building with a rifle next to him,” according to the same source.

“He probably shot himself in the head,” police spokeswoman Kostyantina Dimoglidu added.

According to several Greek news agencies, the author was fired from this company located in Glyfada and lived in a small house next to the company owner’s house.

A police spokesman said the worker was “working for the owner’s family”, without giving further details.

An employee of European Product Carriers said in a video published by news site News247 that the attacker was “of Egyptian origin” and “apparently wanted revenge and targeted the company’s managers”.

He “called us out,” she added.
