A greener electric bike

The e-bike market is booming in our regions: users of this new low-carbon mode of transportation are environmentally conscious, a trend that will be continued by many market players with increasingly greener products.
The Swiss from Miloo understood this well and will soon release a variation Miloo Xplorer beast, a powerful electric mountain bike designed for performance, with controlled weight thanks to a carbon fiber frame. Developed in partnership with Nespressothis upcoming greener Xplorer Beast will ditch the carbon fiber frame in favor of a new material made fromrecycled aluminumfrom waste from used coffee capsules.
This is one of the Swiss coffee brand’s circular economy initiatives, which allows it to offer a second life to these used pods that we find in abundance in our daily lives. For several years now, Nespresso has offered its customers the option to pick them up used capsules : more than 70% of it is recycled, and here is one of the uses for this aluminum.

Miloo Xplorer Beast Nespresso: a powerful electric mountain bike

In particular, the equipment will be equipped with recycled aluminum supplied by Nespresso frames and discs Miloo electric bikes, but not only that: we will also find other recycled materials for other elements such as tires, handles or even saddles, not forgetting the paint and packaging of the bikes.
With this initiative, Miloo aims to offer its customers more sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives that will allow them to replace their individual car.
Billed as an “E-SUV bike”, the Miloo Xplorer Beast is equipped with Maxxis all-terrain tires, Battery 1008 Whas well as a Bafang M620 electric motor with a The power is 1000 W and the torque is 160 Nmwhich allows it to reach maximum speed 45 km/h : so it’s in the “fast bike” category, but you can also opt for a limited version 25 km/hto comply with European VAE (Bicycle Electric Drive) regulations.
The Miloo Xplorer Beast with its carbon fiber frame is currently priced from 10,899 Swiss francs, which is equivalent to around 11,600 euros. The price of the version developed in collaboration with Nespresso will be announced at a later date.

Nespresso’s Miloo Xplorer Beast release is expected for spring 2024.
