President Vladimir Putin rejected the idea of invading Poland or Latvia, two countries in which Russia has “no interest,” in an interview with American host Tucker Carlson that aired Thursday.
“We have no interests in Poland, Latvia, or elsewhere. Why do we do this? We simply have no interest (…). The question doesn’t even arise,” the Russian president replied to the question: “Can you imagine a scenario in which you would introduce Russian troops into Poland?”
Putin says that Russia cannot be defeated in Ukraine and believes that a “deal” can be reached on the release of American journalist Evan Hershkovich.
