
Victor Cornea and Philip Oswald reached the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 doubles tournament in Córdoba (Argentina) on Wednesday.
The Romanian-Austrian pair needed an hour and 51 minutes to get past Argentina’s Guido Andreozzi and Guillermo Duran 7-6(5), 7-5.
After qualifying for the quarterfinals, Cornea and Oswald earned a check for $5,210 and 45 points in the ATP doubles rankings.
In the next round, Victor and Philippe will play against Frenchmen Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul (favourites 2).
The Cordoba Open will take place from February 5 to 11, 2024. The tournament is held on clay, is in the “ATP 250” category and has a total prize fund of $562,345. The reigning champions are Argentine Sebastian Baez (singles), Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni (doubles).
