Five generations have marked the history of the famous universal Spanish city car: the Seat Ibiza was first launched in 1984 year, and quickly became synonymous with success for the Martorella company. There first generation Seat Ibiza turned to Giorgetto Giugiaro for exterior design, Karmann for interior design, and Porsche for its engines, crowned by the 1.5 GLX with 85 horsepower, the most efficient at the time. A total of 1.3 million Ibiza I units were produced by 1993.
Seat Ibiza: five successful generations

Over three generations, more than 3.3 million examples were produced.

Its equipment is enriched, including a central airbag, electronic stability control, hill start assistance and tire pressure monitoring. It also uses a new platform from the Volkswagen concern with high-performance and efficient engines.
There fifth and the current generation Ibiza was launched in 2017 year. Developed in Barcelona on the Volkswagen Group’s new MQB-A0 platform, the Seat Ibiza offers a new level of technology, performance and comfort. To celebrate the 40th anniversary, a special “Anniversary Limited Edition” series will be launched in the first quarter of 2024.
