Two construction workers rescued seven puppies from under a container at a construction site in the capital’s 6th sector. Due to the fact that the fence at the construction site was repaired, the mother could no longer reach them to feed them. ASPA teams later captured the bitch and all were taken to a shelter, News.ro reported.

“A successful capture requires careful planning and execution that requires precise timing and timing. In many cases, citizen involvement contributes to intervention success, reduced intervention time, and effective planning. An example of involvement is two construction workers. They informed ASPA of 7 chicks, only a few weeks old, that were under a container in the yard of a construction site in Sector 6, helping to remove them from under the container,” ASPA officials said on Tuesday.

They explained that after the construction site fence was repaired, the mother of the cubs no longer had access to them, and the cubs were left without food and without maternal warmth and care.

“It was not possible to catch the female on the same day, but our colleagues returned to the territory on the second and third day until they managed to catch her and reunite her in the shelter with the cubs,” ASPA also reported:

A similar incident also occurred in Sector 6.

“The ASPA crew was called to intervene to retrieve the female that had been giving birth for several days under a container near the Chiajna station in Sector 6. With the help of citizens, the female and her cubs were picked up together,” ASPA officials also said.

They explain that rescued puppies are taken to ASPA shelters, where they are consulted by veterinarians and vaccinated when age and health permit.

After that, sterilized females and immunized and healthy puppies are put up for adoption.
