The Sino-Swedish manufacturer has just opened orders for Polar star 4 in Europe, as well as in the Australian market at prices from from 63,200 euros, or 81,500 Australian dollars respectively. Production is scheduled to begin in mid-2024 at Geely’s factory in Hangzhou Bay, China, with first deliveries expected in August 2024.
“Having the Polestar 4 in all our markets throughout 2024 is key to our success in adding this third model to our range. Polestar 4 is aimed at the premium market in the D-SUV segment. The innovative interpretation of the SUV-coupe Polestar 4 provides a large interior space and a stunning appearance »– said Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar.
Polestar 4 is positioned between Polestar 2 and Polestar 3 in terms of size and price. In Germany, the model is offered at a price of 63,200 euros including tax for the version One long-range engine (272 horsepower and 610 km of autonomy), and from 71,200 euros for the version Long range twin engine (544 horsepower and 580 km of autonomy).
Polestar 4: (yet) not for France
Several option packages are also offered:
• THE Driver package (1,500 euros): Pilot Assist, assistance when changing the traffic lane;
• THE Package Plus (€5,500): Harman Kardon Premium Sound, Pixel LED headlights, head-up display, star-shaped illuminated textiles, foot-operated tailgate, dimming exterior mirrors, reverse control screen, 12-way adjustable front seats directions and an assistance system when entering/exiting the car, rear seat backrests with electric drive, heated steering wheel and rear seats, 3-zone climate control, air filtration PM 2.5 and AC charging 22 kW;
• THE Pro Pack (€2,000): 21-inch Pro rims, Swedish Gold seat belt;
• THE Performance package (€4,500, for dual-engine version only): 22-inch Performance wheels, Polestar Engineered optimized chassis, Brembo brakes, Swedish gold details;
To date, the Polestar brand has not yet been created In France, where she clashed with Citroën because of a logo too close to the chevrons of the French brand. Since then, a peace agreement has been reached between the two sides, allowing Polestar to gain a foothold in France and Europe.
Thus, the sale of the Polestar 4 in our region will only be a matter of time. Especially since the latest Polestar model is available in our neighbors: for example, in Belgium, where the model costs 63,500 euros, in Spain (65,900 euros) or even in Italy (65,655 euros).
At last year’s unveiling, the Polestar 4 was particularly notable for its absence of a rear window, replaced by a camera mirror, and its full-length glass roof as standard.
