Jordan beat South Korea and reached the final of the Asian Cup

With only two quarter-finals in their history, Jordan knocked out the much more decorated South Korea and qualified for the final of the Asian Cup.

The Jordanians opened the scoring in the 53rd minute through Yazan Al Naimat in the game played at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan.

Montpellier midfielder Moussa Al-Tamari made it 2-0 in the 66th minute and Jordan produced the surprise of the day at the Asian Cup.

Compared to South Korea, who are two-time winners of the trophy and have a team value of 193 million euros, Jordan’s team does not even reach 14 million euros.

Almost half of the cost of the lot is the author of the second goal, Moussa Al-Tamari, estimated at 6 million euros.

In the final, Jordan will meet the winner of Iran and Qatar. If the former have three trophies, then the Qataris are the champions of the last tournament in 2019.
